Trying to figure out how to market your business in ways other than through social media? My conversation with Sasha on The Fierce Social Podcast is just what you need to hear. We talked about marketing beyond social media and really peeled back the curtain on this marketing strategy.
Some other business coaches might press that you need to market on social media. That you can bring in all your clients through Instagram or TikTok. Sasha really brought a different viewpoint on the topic, sharing that while it’s a good way to market, it shouldn’t be the only way.
“All of your marketing efforts should not be focused solely on social media,” Sasha shared. “I think if social media works for your business, then it should be a part of your marketing, but I don’t believe it should be the sole place where your marketing efforts are focused.”
I’m sure we all remember late last year when Instagram went down. Business owners with email lists were very thankful for having ownership of that email list that day. You need to be able to communicate with your people in other ways other than social media. We don’t own that. We can’t control who sees our stuff on social media or which reel the algorithm decides to push out.
Websites are a great piece of real estate to have for communicating with your audience. You can use your website to direct your audience to your offers through funnels. Now, people do get to websites through social media. You want to get your audience to your website so you can track your Google analytics. That’s where you can find out where they’re stopping their journey. Then you can strategize on how to get them to continue to click through.
